What a great day we had this past Saturday for Soccer! Close to 70 participants from all age groups came out to play 4v4 games and have a Barbeque to celebrate soccer during this fun event!!
Special Thanks to David Ricca and NJ Youth Soccer, and their amazing event staff (Coach Auke, Coach Lou, Coach Joe and Coach Will) for setting up and keeping everything organized!! Thank you to all Lyndhurst Board Members, Coaches and Parents who pitched in to help!!
Thanks also to our older youth participants for helping out some of the newer/younger players…..I think we have found some future Coaches…keep up the good work!!
Lyndhurst Soccer Club is thrilled to take part in this and future events which provide fun opportunities for young soccer players of Lyndhurst and promote soccer throughout North Jersey and beyond!!
Good afternoon Lyndhurst Soccer Club Members,
It is with great pleasure that I would like to announce that Lyndhurst Youth Soccer Club has applied for and been accepted into New Jersey Youth Soccer’s (NJYS) Innovate to Grow Program!!!
Innovate to Grow is offered by NJYS through a grant from the US Soccer Federation. The main goal of this initiative is to promote continued growth of grassroots youth soccer programs and to maintain soccer as a top sport thought the United States. NJYS has re-focused efforts in northern New Jersey and we are very proud to have been selected for participation. A special thanks to NJYS Innovate to Grow Program Consultant and District Commissioner David Ricca who has worked closely with us over the past couple months to become members of NJYS and gain acceptance to this exciting program.
Participating in this extraordinary program affords Clubs like ours the opportunity to take part in initiatives centered around: player and coach development; community engagement; player health and safety; event/tournament promotion; sponsorship and much much more!!
Our new partnership with NJYS and participation in these programs provides Lyndhurst Soccer with additional support as we continuously strive to improve our Club and the playing experience afforded to all players and Club Members!! Please read the NJYS news announcement at the link provided below.
The future is bright!! Keep watching for updates in the upcoming months and we’ll see you all…..out on the field!!!

By LSC Staff 09/20/2019, 1:00am EDT Lyndhurst High School soccer coach Kim Hykey and the girls team held clinics for our youth travel and rec players at the Rec Center in September. It was a great experience for the girls to get on the fields and train with the team and meet all the players. The girls showed their appreciation by returning in numbers to support the LHS Girls in their 3-2 win over Nutley. The team remains undefeated at 7-0.
By LSC Staff 07/07/2019, 1:00am Coach Joe Baratta and the Lyndhurst 2009 U11 Girls were special guests on Fox & Friends this past weekend for a segment on the 2019 Woman's World Cup. Well Done Coach. Great job girls...you all look great on TV.
LSC had some big wins this soccer weekend, against some great teams. The 2009 Girls won their Bracket at the Parsippany Pride tournament. The girls tied Madison and then went through Stateline, STA and West Morris SC Premiere to go undefeated and take home 1st place. Congratulations to all the girls and coaches Jorge Amaral , Joe Baratta and Louie Serodio.
The 2010 Girls also won 1st place in the Saddle Brook Columbus Day tournament. Congratulations to all the girls and coaches John Montillo and Dana Marino.
At the Deptford Fall Festival the 2006 Boys took 2nd place playing against some top rated South Jersey Team. After losing first game 0-2 they won 2-0 and 5-0 to take 2nd place. Congrats to the boys and coach Gorge Sanchez and Sean Gilmore. Great weekend for the club.
Status will change to "closed" if canceled due to weather.
